True Crime Stories You Won’t Believe by Romeo Vitelli: A Book Review
Genre: True Crime
I don’t read a lot of True Crime stories to review – but I do tend to watch a lot of shows on the matter. I find documentaries about serial killers and such extremely fascinating – so I jumped at the chance to review a written piece. Because of the genre having no plot or characters to review I am looking only at the writing and editing of the book.
Vitelli wrote a very organized and detailed recording of unusual crimes in the first volume of his “A Cavalcade of Chaotic Justice” series and, honestly, I am looking forward to the second volume. This first volume focused mainly on crimes committed in the 1800s to early 1900s. While the stories were interesting, some of them were tales that I have heard before and I was hoping for newer unusual stories – which is mainly why I am looking forward to the second volume.
As for the editing, there were a few letters missing here or there as well as a couple words in random places. These few errors, however, are fleeting and can easily be avoided/ignored.
Who would most enjoy the work and who should stay clear (if necessary):
If you like unusual stories or interesting history facts, you would enjoy this novel.
