the sun and her flowers by rupi kaur: A Book Review

Genre: Poetry

Never having read Kaur before, the sun and her flowers fascinated me. Surrounding the themes of grief, self-love and pain, Kaur’s collection of poetry crafts a journey of self-discovery everyone can relate to. My favorite part about Kaur is that she does not pull punches. Whether in her illustrations or word choice, she is proud to mean what she says and defiant to the world who wishes to forget.
