It’s was the third week of the new year and I already missed a week! I was trying to read The Devil in the White City and I just could not do it. Ever since I’ve been trying to decide what to write about it because… while frankly… I couldn’t finish it. It was definitely not my cup of tea, so I decided to forgo it, but because I didn’t finish it, I can’t write a complete review on it.
As such, I am stating my third week in was a flop. The Devil in the White City is historical fiction with a heavy leaning on the historical side. Reading it felt more like reading non-fiction. If this is some thing you are interested in, this book is for you. Otherwise, I feel like you will be in the same boat as me – waiting for something interesting to happen that won’t come up on Wikipedia when you search for the event or the book.
The next book in line is John Green’s Turtles All the Way Down. Hopefully this week, I will get something down.
